Lake Nakuru National Park
We will pick you from the hotel and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewing point to take photos of the historical escarpment. Masai Mara is part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration, and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will have an introductory game drive on this day. We later drive back to the camp or lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you’ll leave for a full day game drive with your packed lunch.
The amazing wildlife experience continues. On the plains are large herds of herbivores grazing, cheetahs and leopards hiding in their locations. Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism with large species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point. After your picnic lunch, you will have some rest before embarking on your late afternoon game drive until late in the evening. We will later drive back to the camp or lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will have an opportunity for a cultural tour which is known as Maasai village tour from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Then we’ll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch en-route, followed with a boat ride at Lake Naivasha. The Lake Naivasha is home to species of birds including migrating birds, eagles and others. This is the place you will be closer to hippos during a boat ride. We’ll then proceed to Lake Nakuru, arriving late in the evening at your hotel or Lodge.
In the morning after breakfast, you will go for a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. The famous Lake Nakuru attracts vast numbers of fabulously coloured pink flamingos to its shallow waters. Hippos, various animals, black rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. We will exit the park at 11:00 am and drive to back to Nairobi arriving late evening.
